About Chris
Chris has over 25 years experience within the retail travel industry. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Chris was a copartner at a successful IATA and ABTA accredited independent travel agency chain, serving both the leisure market and local business. Chris's business interests included general travel agency management, sales and marketing, plus the early-stage development of new technology within the travel industry.
Chris was responsible for the introduction of early automation into his partnership, including the integration of (real-time) front-end travel reservations with back-office systems. Chris continued to follow the tech advancements of the UK travel industry, especially during the pioneering years of the early 1990s when airline reservations, ticketing and package holiday CRS (computer reservation systems) were successfully introduced into the retail travel sector.
